Entrust Corp., formerly Datacard Group, provides financial institutions, national governments, corporate enterprises, and other organizations with technologies to establish trusted identities and conduct highly secure transactions.

Datacard focuses on cost-cutting, employees are poorly trained, there is a toxic working environment and management has poor goals, an ex-employee claims at

"Huge amount of silos in the company. Huge divide between the US and the rest of the world .Poor management of goals. Little to no alignment between business goals and processes. Constant internal battle over data and power. Poorly trained staff across the company. Focus on cost-cutting."

Tell the world why Datacard sucks!

Lead Senior Material Handler (Current Employee) says

"There is absolutely no room for advancement. You are simply a rat running around a maze. Management does not know the processes, nor do they care for their employeesNonTerrible place to work"

Manager (Current Employee) says

"Toxic environment. Back stabbing and very political. It’s all about your face fitting and one perceived wrong move you are outcasted. Worse thing is that they all do it with a smiling face and fake engagement initiatives which are just a tick box exercise. Don’t work here!"

Facilities (Former Employee) says

"The management for this company is so poor and unprofessional that you will find yourself in constant turmoil with management. The company is always short staffed and expects everyone to do extra tasks constantly. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this InsuranceLow pay and small yearly raises"

Senior Marketing specialist (Former Employee) says

"Management at the company has gotten much worse in the past year and even though over half the marketing team has left and complained to hr and leadership they continue to do nothing to keep their talent happy. Also the company didn't meet numbers this year, just had layoffs, plus didn't give out the 10 percent bonus. The building is nice and free gym, but that's about it.Free gym and newer buildingManagement, advancement opportunities, politics, senior leadership"

Senior Project Manager (Former Employee) says

"This company has good employees but management is short sited and not very diverse. There are few opportunities to move up in the organization. The benefits are alright and they are very flexible in terms of your hours or working remotely if your job allows it."

NA (Current Employee) says

"Weak management, Corporate Cultural is defined by the department you work in. Read the book, the 4 hour work week and it describes Entrust Datacard. Strategy changes every 12 months."

Regional Services Director (Former Employee) says

"Hay un claro favoritismo hacia el personal que viene de NCR."

Project Manager (Current Employee) says

"The focus is not with the client's but with revenue. And I understand a business needs to be profitable; however, being profitable at the sake of treating your people terribly is bad business. Averaging 4.3 out of 5 on client survey's is considered subpar. You absorb all the blame for the team without having any of the control to manage the team. And you are provided, on average, 30 different client's to work with. It's extremely difficult to maintain high quality standards when you are forced to close as many projects as possible while constantly starting new projects."

Business Development Representative (Former Employee) says

"Entrust Management was abruptly laid off in the acquisition by Datacard. The two businesses are so different although there is one CEO at the helm. Sales Management for Entrust is ineffective. Massive layoffs occur frequently. Sales culture has never taken off and many have left the company on there own.Entrust is great for those in Information technology. You dont want to establish a sales career at this company."

Marketing (Former Employee) says

"Inward looking company run by accountants with horrible work life balance that is slow to market changes and uses outdated systems.good peopleoutdated systems, slow to market changes"

Sr. Marketing Manager (Former Employee) says

"The company has changed to a digital technology organization. It is not people oriented, prefers to hire outside with very minimal internal promotions and restructures every year"

EMEA Customer Service Manager (Current Employee) says

"Staff are seen as commodities and not assets. All decision making is driven by the US who fail to truly understand a global culture. There are some great people and teams to work with. The work life balance is poor with people regularly recognised for going above and beyond but only when this involves working outside of normal hours. Great portfolio of products and markets."

Technical Software Support (Current Employee) says

"Senior management only cares about doing things as cheap as possible and selling it for the most money. Some managers (my direct manager included) are good. Office culture is a joke. Marketing department doesn't know what they are doing. Products have a great reputation, but they want to sell it cheaper then the inferior competition. Stupid!! Recent software and hardware products are very poor quality and full of problems. Constantly patching. Senior management care very little about individual employees except those that can work cheap. Human Resources is mainly concerned with being PC and celebrating gay and minority individuals to the exclusion of the majority. Why can't we celebrate everyone. Advancement is a joke. Most people leave after a couple of frustrating years."

Support (Former Employee) says

"Many "silos" within the company. Departments work as separate companies. Poor management in parts of the business. Work was enjoyable and challenging, despite the malfunction of the business.Great benefits, in house cafeTeamwork not emphasized within a department or the company, Lack of management in some areas, To many meetings."

Enterprise PKI Support Engineer (Former Employee) says

"No direction or training and management expects you to just pick up a complex set of software in complex environments after reading a binder. Career advancement is only if you are in the good old boy network other then that you aren't getting any. After 2 years the company that prides their interview on saying they have little employee loss , lost many and laid off the rest. No warning. Avoid and find something stable with better training and better processes.Benefits are good, retirement plan is goodCareer stability, Work structure, no training"

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"Do your job, keep your head down, always agree with management. If you have your own opinions, they had better be able to be expressed as being in line with management in some way, or you are being negative, even if you have an idea for improvement. Don't expect to be given time to do things "right". It always can be "fixed" later, if necessary. Work-arounds are the rule, not the exception.Decent wages and good benefits. Not allowed the time to do a good job, just get it done."

Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) says

"I would not recommend this company if you want to rise the corporate ladder because the company is not growing. If you want a stable job, it is good though."

Engineer (Current Employee) says

"Ever since this company made the transition from Minnetonka to Shakopee 2 and a half years ago the company has been slowly going downhill losing money firing a lot of their long term employees and the future doesn't look so bright. We used to get raises every June but that has been pushed out to October and our employee bonus has been getting smaller and smaller each year. This company does not care about their long term employees.Good benefitsThe hiring H.R manager is very bad for the company. Always short staffed and always overworked constantly. Just say no to this company!"

Senior Product Manager (Former Employee) says

"The market for card personalization is decreasing and the company refuses to accept the fact that embossing plastic cards is nearing an end."

IT support Specialist (Current Employee) says

"Learned a lot while working here. Wish they were a little bit more flexible with the hours. I am a contractor with them and that is why they don't let me participate in any meetings. Which I think is a bad idea if they want all of there team members to be on the same page.Close to homebad management" is a non-profit organization and communications forum for social activism.
